Since its establishment in 2007, Chibozu Community Trust has achieved a number of projects milestones in the Simooya area. Below are our current and ongoing projects:
Simooya Community Primary School
For many years the children of Simooya and the surrounding villages had no access to education. Children who did manage to enter school either travelled long distances to schools away from the area or relocated from their parents to go and live…
Simooya Village Clinic
Chibozu Comminity Trust while working together with the Ministry of Health in Zambia is dedicated to improving access to basic healthcare in Simooya area and the surrounding villages…
Water Supply
The supply clean drinking water to the clinic, the school and the surrounding community.
Electricity & Electrical Infrustructure
The supply of main electrical power to the school building, the clinic, the teacher’s houses and the nurse’s houses.
Teacher and Nurse House Construction
With the help of two local commercial farmers, the community built two teacher’s houses. The houses were a prerequisite for the government to assign and post teachers to the school. Without the houses, the school could not begin operating and could not open.
Women's Club and Sewing Equipment
Chibozu Community Trust set up a women’s club which is composed of a group of women from the community to meet and receive various trade skills training and engage in trading various activities.
Waterborne Toilets
The charity has funded the building of waterborne toilets at the school aimed at promoting and providing good hygiene behaviour both to teachers and children well-being and a healthy environment…
