Chibozu Community Trust set up a women’s club which is composed of a group of women from the community to meet and receive various trade skills training and engage in trading various activities.
A number of hand sewing machines were acquired and given to the women’s club to empower the women with working tools. This was done with the hope of and for them becoming self-reliant through a stitching and tailoring skill training program.
Women are worst affected when it comes to poverty. Without any income of their own they have depend on men for anything and everything.
Women employment through self-reliance and financial independence can be achieved by providing vocational training through which women and girls can either setup start-up businesses of their own or take up a jobs.
