Beginning of Building a Clinic With Contributions from the Villagers
Milden met with the village community elders and Headmen from 12 villages in Simooya area to discuss the possibility of constructing a Medical Clinic that the area was lacking. It was agreed that the project would start with the local community contributing and providing the needed building materials like sand, burnt bricks, water and labour.
Milden contributed materials that were not available such as cement, door frames, window frames, roofing sheets and roofing timber.
In 2006 the construction of the clinic came to halt after Milden relocated to join his wife in the UK. The villagers were determined to complete the project but they quickly ran out of resources needed to continue with the project.
