The school introduced a feeding programme which has resulted in motivating parents to enrol their children in school and see that they attend school regularly.
The programme has helped to increase the attention and concentration of students producing gaining cognitive function and learning. It has effectively reduced absenteeism and increased the education duration of schooling and improved school performance.
The school feeding programme has increased community involvement in school, particularly where the programme depends on the community to prepare and serve meals to children.
The programme in addition has helped to overcome many other factors that contribute to hunger in school such as: the long distances children have to travel to school , with cultural meal practice that include no or small breakfast or a lack of family time or resources to provide adequate meals to children before and/ or during the school days.
